What’s up Hungary ?

After a post-crisis stagnation, Hungary experienced steady economic growth in the past two years. Along with record low inflation this led to rising real wages and significantly lower unemployment rates. However, large groups of the population did not benefit from this positive turn: higher employment rates include participants of the large-scale public works programme with a monthly wage below EUR 200, and social benefits were cut radically.
